3 Steps to Protect Yourself from Scams

  1. Install and Use ScamShield
      • Important: Do not download ScamShield from unofficial sources.
  1. Recognize Scam Signs
      • If unsure, say no, hang up, or delete the call or message.
      • Call the ScamShield helpline at 1799 to confirm if the call or message is a scam.
  1. Report and Warn Others
      • If you suspect or encounter a scam:
        • Report it via the ScamShield app.
        • Inform your friends and fellow MDWs so they can avoid falling victim.
        • Notify the authorities to take action against scammers.

What to Do If You've Been Scammed

  1. Act Immediately
      • Contact your bank to report the scam and ask them to stop any transactions.
  1. Inform Authorities and Prevent Others from Being Scammed
      • File a police report at the nearest Neighborhood Police Centre to warn others and aid investigations.
  1. Seek Support
      • If you need someone to talk to, reach out to trusted friends.
      • Call the MOM Helpline for MDWs at 1800-339-5505 for assistance.
